[Field trip at Can Gio district, HCMC]

📌On January 12-14, 2022, representatives from University of Economics and Law, VNU-HCM including Dr. Dao Gia Phuc (Managing Director of the Institute of International and Comparative Law), Dr. Trinh Thuc Hien (Deputy Managing Director the Institute of International and Comparative Law) and Dr. Truong Van Vinh (Deputy Dean of Faculty of Forestry – Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City) had a field trip to Can Gio within the framework of the project “Legal training programme and legal aid for residents who participate in forest management and protection and who rely on forests for livelihood in Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh City”.
 
📌During the trip, the leadership of the Protection Forest Management Board of Can Gio district, including Dr. Huynh Duc Hoan (Head of Department) and Mr. Bui Nguyen The Kiet (Head of Resource Development Management Department) and Mr. Le Thanh Sang (Director of the Center for Communication, Environmental Education, and Ecotourism) welcomed the delegation and discussed the project implementation plan in the locality as well as detailed preparation steps on facilities and personnel in the coming time.
 
📌The project “Legal training programme and legal aid for residents who participate in forest management and protection and who rely on forests for livelihood in Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh City” is designed and implemented under the framework of of the EU Justice and Legal Empowerment Programme in Viet Nam (EU JULE) with the financial contribution from the Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF). The JIFF is one of two components of the project “EU Justice and Legal Empowerment Programme in Viet Nam” (EU JULE) funded by the European Union, to promote the rule of law in Vietnam through an accessible and reliable justice system.

[Khảo sát thực địa tại rừng phòng hộ huyện Cần Giờ, TP.HCM]
 
📌Vào các ngày 12-14/01/2022, đại diện từ trường Đại học Kinh tế – Luật, ĐHQG-HCM bao gồm TS. Đào Gia Phúc (Viện trưởng Viện Pháp luật Quốc tế và So sánh), TS. Trịnh Thục Hiền (Phó Viện trưởng) và TS. Trương Văn Vinh (Phó trưởng khoa Lâm Nghiệp – Trường Đại học Nông Lâm TP. HCM) đã có chuyến công tác khảo sát thực địa tại Cần Giờ trong khuôn khổ Dự án “Chương trình tập huấn và trợ giúp pháp lý cho đối tượng người dân tham gia vào công tác quản lý bảo vệ rừng và sống phụ thuộc vào rừng tại địa bàn huyện Cần Giờ, TPHCM”.
 
📌Trong chuyến công tác, Ban Lãnh đạo Ban Quản lý Rừng phòng hộ huyện Cần Giờ gồm có TS. Huỳnh Đức Hoàn (Trưởng Ban), Thạc sĩ Bùi Nguyễn Thế Kiệt (Trưởng phòng Quản lý Phát triển tài nguyên) và Thạc sĩ Lê Thanh Sang (Giám đốc Trung tâm truyền thông, Giáo dục môi trường, du lịch sinh thái) đã đón tiếp đoàn và trao đổi về kế hoạch triển khai dự án tại địa phương cũng như các bước chuẩn bị chi tiết về cơ sở vật chất và nhân sự trong thời gian tới.
 
📌Dự án “Chương trình tập huấn và trợ giúp pháp lý cho đối tượng người dân tham gia vào công tác quản lý bảo vệ rừng và sống phụ thuộc vào rừng tại địa bàn huyện Cần Giờ, TPHCM” thuộc khuôn khổ Chương trình tăng cường pháp luật và tư pháp tại Việt Nam do Quỹ Thúc đẩy Sáng kiến Tư pháp tài trợ. Quỹ Thúc đẩy Sáng kiến Tư pháp là một trong hai hợp phần của dự án “Tăng cường Pháp luật và Tư pháp tại Việt Nam” do Liên minh Châu Âu tài trợ, nhằm góp phần tăng cường xây dựng pháp quyền ở Việt Nam thông qua hệ thống tư pháp tin cậy và dễ tiếp cận.
