[PROJECT “MINIMIZING NEGATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS RELATED TO THE EXTRACTION OF CONSTRUCTION AND LANDFILL MATERIALS, ESPECIALLY SAND IN CA MAU” OFFICIALLY APPROVED]

📌 Dự án “Giảm thiểu tác động tiêu cực đến môi trường liên quan đến khai thác nguyên vật liệu xây dựng và san lấp, đặc biệt là cát ở Cà Mau” do Tổ chức Stichting Oxfam Novib tại Việt Nam tài trợ, chính thức được phê duyệt theo Quyết định số 636/QĐ-ĐHQG của ĐHQG TP. HCM vào ngày 26/05/2025.
📌 Dự án được triển khai trong khuôn khổ hợp tác giữa Trường Đại học Kinh tế – Luật, ĐHQG TP.HCM (UEL) và Viện Nghiên cứu Phát triển Kinh tế Tuần hoàn (ICED), ĐHQG TP.HCM, trong đó, Viện Pháp luật Quốc tế và So sánh (IICL) là đầu mối điều phối và triển khai dự án.
📌 Dự án hướng tới mục tiêu nâng cao năng lực quản trị và nhận thức của các bên liên quan tại Cà Mau về trách nhiệm môi trường và xã hội trong khai thác và sử dụng nguyên vật liệu xây dựng và san lấp, thông qua việc áp dụng mô hình kinh tế tuần hoàn.
📌 Dự án dự kiến sẽ triển khai đa dạng các hoạt động tại địa phương, tiêu biểu như:
(i) Nghiên cứu và đề xuất giải pháp quản lý tài nguyên cát và vật liệu san lấp thay thế theo mô hình KTTH.
(ii) Tổ chức các đợt tập huấn và phiên tòa giả định cho cán bộ và người dân tại Cà Mau liên quan đến KTTH và các vấn đề pháp luật có liên quan.
(iii) Phát triển các tài liệu nghiên cứu, giảng dạy và ứng dụng di động thông minh tư vấn pháp luật cho người dân trên địa bàn.

📌 The project titled “Minimizing Negative Environmental Impacts Related to the Extraction of Construction and Landfill Materials, Especially Sand in Ca Mau” funded by Stichting Oxfam Novib in Vietnam, has been officially approved under Decision No. 636/QĐ-ĐHQG issued by the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) on May 26, 2025.
📌 The project is implemented within the framework of collaboration between the University of Economics and Law (UEL), VNU-HCM, and the Institute for Circular Economy Development (ICED), VNU-HCM, with the Institute of International and Comparative Law (IICL) serving as the focal point for coordination and implementation.
📌 The project aims to enhance governance capacity and raise awareness among stakeholders in Ca Mau regarding environmental and social responsibilities in the extraction and use of construction and land-filling materials through the application of the circular economy model.
📌 The project is expected to implement various local activities, notably:
(i) Conducting research and proposing solutions for managing sand resources and alternative filling materials under the circular economy model;
(ii) Organizing training sessions and mock trials for officials and local residents in Ca Mau related to circular economy and relevant legal issues;
(iii) Developing research and teaching materials and a smart mobile application that provides legal consultation for local residents.
